About the Speakers:
Mike has over 20 years of experience in management consulting as well as having served as a Head of Strategy and Marketing for a global company. His experience covers Strategy, Business Transformation and Change Management. Mike has worked extensively in the Life Sciences sector and has also worked in Retail, Manufacturing, Chemical, Technology, Consumer Products, Financial Services and Not-for-Profit sectors. He is passionate about delivering sustainable change through insightful analysis and the engagement and alignment of client teams at all levels. He has significant experience organisational development, leadership development, organisational culture, high performance team development and change management aspects of these transformation initiatives. These programmes have been designed and implemented to deliver measurable outcomes in customer satisfaction, business growth, productivity, and regulatory compliance. Prior to management consulting Mike served in the British Army where he was a member of an elite unit. Mike is a Trustee of a Multi Academy trust and supports a veterans entrepreneur charity. He is passionate about the benefits of youth sport and coaches both junior football and rugby.
Mike has an MBA from Alliance Manchester Business School, an MSc in Applied Psychology from the University of Salford and a BSc in Human Sciences (Psychology major) from UCL. He led a client engagement that won the Management Consultancies Association prizes for Best Operational Excellence and Best Private Sector project for work with a Medical Devices company. In 2015 Mike became a Fellow of the Institute of Directors.
Maria is the Senior Business Psychologist and Head of Assessment at Impact Psychology for Business. She is passionate about driving real behaviour change and delivering improved personal and business results. Maria designs and delivers bespoke and evidence-based development interventions for clients in both the private and public sectors, focusing on Impact’s five pillars – Leadership, Talent, Change, Wellbeing, and Performance. She is also a qualified Personal and Business Coach. Her work is strongly guided by her values of making a difference, compassion, fairness, and excellence.
Before joining Impact Psychology for Business in 2020, Maria had a successful career in Human Resources in Social Care. She also has extensive experience in personnel selection, having worked at the UK’s largest specialised recruitment agency. This, coupled with her passion for wellbeing and extensive understanding of the employee life cycle, enables her to have a compassionate yet pragmatic view of the needs of her clients.
