Join us for our breakfast speaker event ‘The Health & Retail Revolution’ during which we will look at how health and wellbeing retailers have been managing the turbulent consumer landscape over the past year. Are consumers still choosing to spend their reduced disposal income on health and wellbeing products? Who are the ‘winners’ and ‘losers’ in the sector?
Industry experts will also explore the trends they predict will emerge in the health and wellbeing retail sector over the coming year.
About the Speakers:
My name is Yuming Tang and I am passionate about wellbeing at work and being ‘me’.
I currently work as a Regional Manager at Holland and Barrett and have been in retail for 27 years.
Outside of work I am a professional football scout, Chairman of a local football club and a non-exec member of a charity in South Africa called Career Box.
Steph is the co-founder of Laid Bear, a small batch kombucha brewery based in the heart of the city centre. Steph’s background is cooking for HNW clients, before moving on to having her own plant-based pop up in Altrincham Market. As Laid Bear has grown it’s become the primary focus, stocking award winning, 100% natural kombucha across the North and online.
After working in some of the best restaurants around the world, Bondi Bowls founder Jamie Tones finally decided it was time to go it alone. While living in Sydney it was here that he saw that fast food could be healthy & wholesome but still have serious flavour and personality and that this needed to be brought to the UK!
Over 15 years, Jon has co-founded a series of successful start-ups with business partner Phil Simmonds, using his expertise in behavioral science. Jon has achieved success time and time again with a simple understanding: by paying close attention to the way people work, we can make things people like. At Diskette, he is using this understanding to develop software solutions that change things for the better. Their latest product, Leafyard, uses behavioural science to motivate people to take control of their mental health; it is now being used by companies across the globe to help improve employee wellbeing.
Jennifer is a Partner with considerable experience and expertise, encompassing both contentious and non-contentious work, spanning the lifetime of the employment relationship. With extensive advocacy experience in the Tribunals, Jennifer has developed a strong reputation as a litigator and tactician.
Jennifer is listed in the Legal 500 as a “Recommended Lawyer” and a “Next Generation Partner”. The publication has described Jennifer as “very thorough and totally committed to her clients” and as a “name to note”. Jennifer has particular expertise in the recruitment sector, as well as professional services industry and hospitality, retail and tech sectors.

Lauren Somers is a UK Chartered Trade Mark and Designs Attorney. She helps businesses from multinationals to start-ups to identify, protect and enforce their intellectual property rights. Lauren is co-chair of the pro-manchester Retail & E-commence committee and has particular experience and expertise advising retailers.
