Join the Conversation: Shape the Future of Critical Thinking in Marketing
Professor Laura Chamberlain of Warwick Business School is in the process of writing her second book, exploring how marketers can move beyond prescriptive frameworks and develop the critical thinking skills needed to make better strategic decisions.
We're inviting you to be part of a live, interactive discussion that will bring key themes from the book to life alongside academics, consultants and marketeers for a truly inclusive perspective. Hosted by the Emperor strategy and creative teams, this is an opportunity to share your experiences, challenge assumptions, and debate ideas.
Whether you are passionate about brand building, performance marketing, customer experience, or strategy, your perspective will help create a richer discussion.
Join us to connect with peers, exchange ideas, and contribute to a conversation that will shape the next generation of marketing thinking.
Guests are welcome to arrive from 4:30pm for welcome drinks. We’ll continue with drinks and networking afterwards, so please feel free to stay and join us for the evening.

About the Speakers:
I am a Professor of Marketing at Warwick Business School, University of Warwick. I have 20 years of experience, a PhD, published research in top-ranked academic journals, and national teaching awards. I am Chair of the Academy of Marketing’s Education Committee, a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and a mentor to educators around the world. I have served as Assistant Dean and Course Director and currently teach MBA and MSc students at Warwick.
I also write a column for Marketing Week, consult on marketing strategy, coach professionals, speak on stages, and run Think Talk Thrive, a professional development company, and esTeam, which helps organisations and marketers develop their capabilities. My book Brilliantly Bouncy makes the case for building resilience as a daily practice, rather than something we only think about when life gets hard.
Marketing has been my passion for over two decades, and my curiosity for it has never dimmed. I am still fascinated by why people behave the way they do, how organisations make decisions, and what the evidence actually says versus what we assume it says.
