The health and well-being of our members is of the upmost importance to us here at pro-manchester so we are very excited to bring you ‘Sunset Picnics’ in partnership with Freshwalks. A great opportunity to work health and well-being into your strategy.

Edale – The Nab – Kinder Scout – Grindslow Knoll – Edale

Edale is a small village at the start/end of the UK’s first and most famous long distance walking path – the Pennine Way. Our route heads through the village before we begin the initial stiff ascent of Kinder Scout.

We zig-zag upwards via The Nab before we start to head east along the southern edges of the plateau. We will pass the top of Grindsbrook Clough – a potential picnic spot for us – before reaching the highest point of the walk at Grindslow Knoll which offers fabulous panoramic views of the Vale of Edale.  From this point, we begin our descent back to our starting point, dropping rapidly into the valley below.
