Chair's Nominated Charity: Cash for Kids

Hits Radio Cash for Kids is a grant-giving charity helping the children that need it most across Greater Manchester. Their mission is to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in our local community who are affected by poverty, illness, neglect or have additional needs. They believe that all children should be able to express their individuality, achieve their potential and live life to the full.

Hits Radio Cash for Kids work with grassroots organisations that aim to make a difference to young lives, directly supporting families who often have nowhere else to go.

Their current main focus is on providing vital support to the children and families in our city who have been affected most by the cost-of-living crisis. Since January 2023, they have distributed over £103,000 via their cost-of-living grants which have provided basic essentials such as fresh food, heating, electricity and warm clothing for 2060 local children.

In 2022, they gave a helping hand to 44,122 children living within the ten boroughs of Greater Manchester and, as a small team of three, they rely on the amazing support of local businesses, schools and individuals to make this possible.
