The pro-parent and LGBTQ+ EDI sub committees are delighted to welcome you to a special event to help parents, family members and friends have conversations with children and young people who are questioning their sexuality or gender identity. It can often be a confusing and overwhelming time for those who are trying to understand who they are and providing a safe, supportive and non-judgemental place to have those conversations is vitally important.

In this session we will provide advice for family members and friends explaining how to have these conversations and how to make it a positive experience.

The Proud Trust and Mermaids are supporting this event. Speaker details below:

Allana Grant (she/they): Corporate Partnerships Manager - Mermaids

Allana is a non-binary person who grew up with a transgender brother and has personal experience of being a gender diverse person working in a corporate environment. They now work to raise money for Mermaids through corporate partnerships and speaking at events to educate on and raise awareness of transgender and non-binary issues.
