As the legal industry undergoes significant transformations and disruptions, effective leadership plays a crucial role in navigating the evolving challenges and opportunities.

Key challenges include:

  • Talent Drain - with the average cost of replacing each departing lawyer amounting to 125% of their salary, posing a particular issue for firms as they struggle to fill the void left by valuable mid-level lawyers. Reasons for attrition range from salary concerns to feeling undervalued and overwhelmed by workload.
  • Employee Wellbeing Issues – with 69% of legal professionals reported experiencing mental health issues, whether clinically diagnosed or self-identified, according to Law Care.
  • Although 82% of firms claim to prioritise the wellbeing of their employees, only 16% provide wellbeing training for managers and senior positions.

This session will focus on enhancing skills for effectively managing workforce mental health within the legal industry.

Engage in enlightening discussions and gain insights from corporate culture experts, mental wellbeing professionals, and industry experts, who have worked with law firms to achieve a positive impact on employee wellbeing and retention.

This session will cover:

  • Why wellbeing in law is a growing concern
  • How to create a culture of care
  • Transformational leadership in practice: a case study

Additionally, the event provides networking opportunities, allowing participants to connect with like-minded professionals from leading law firms, share experiences, and collaborate on solutions to common challenges.
