I’m Dr Amna Khan, a consumer behaviour expert, consumption educator at MMU, global speaker and media contributor.

Career highlight

I have been fortunate to have many:

• Speaking in ICONIC venues… the Fairmount in Lake Louise, Outernet London, and of course the ministry of sound.
• Contributing to BBC Breakfast and Good Morning Britain and all the other TV and media contributions!
• Teaching leader from global brands all about the consumer.

Name three words that describe your personality

Strong, Determined and Kind.

What’s the best thing about pro-manchester?

Absolutely everything. The people who lead the business so passionately, the networks that come together to make Manchester the best city in the world. The events are great space to meet new people and connect with old friends.

What are your priorities for 2026?

To educate as many brands, business and consumers, about trust, consumption and consumer psyche. Also greater awareness of EDI issues and championing through role modelling,

I aim to do that through speaking at events, contributor to media news, educating through face to face and digital content.

What do you think are the most important things going on in Manchester at the moment?

Building network and relationships with individuals in the professional community and working to make Manchester the best global city. Regeneration, growth and more importantly building the Manc community.

Hard to choose – lots in Manchester, anywhere central.

Are their any particular types of businesses that you would like to meet?

Any businesses that need an event speaker, a workshop, brand collaboration. EDI speaker, to discuss challenges and championing South Asian, Muslim.
