North West Consortium Doctoral Training Partnership (NWCDTP)

Access teams of PhD students from four academic institutions to undertake collaborative projects that can bring value to external partners, thanks to bespoke funding, training and coaching for projects up to 3 months full time (or 6 months part time).

Researchers will send their initial enquiries regarding the opportunities thus listed to us and we will then support them to prepare a 1-page exploratory proposal to be sent to you. If you are happy to proceed with the project idea specified, we will then advise researchers to develop a more detailed project application for a funded research placement under the NWCDTP or the Humanities Placement schemes and support them with coaching until project completion.

The only requirement at this stage is a short description of the department and/or work area on which researchers could work on (max 120 words). See here for an example/template and details of what to include in the short description.

You can see projects completed by our Humanities and Social Sciences researchers on our Case Study webpages. If you would like to discuss this opportunity further or have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Programme Manager: [email protected]
