Private Equity in the Tech Sector

Neave is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal’s Global Transaction Advisory Group in Manchester and is also co-chair of the Corporate Finance Committee for pro-manchester.

With more than 12 years of experience in deals, Neave specialises in buy- and sell-side due diligence, including exit readiness and buy and build strategies. Her primary area of concentration includes working with mid-market clients, with a focus on private equity transactions.

Neave has worked with clients across a range of sectors, with a particular focus on professional services and tech enabled businesses and has been involved in some of the region’s highest profile transactions.

Neave is part of a market leading TAG EMEA team, with Alvarez & Marsal having invested significantly into its Manchester presence over the last year.

Matthew works in the Manchester office as an Investment Manager. He joined NorthEdge in 2022, having started his career with J.P. Morgan in London working with a variety of UK Industrial and TMT clients predominantly on M&A transactions. Matthew also spent two years with AGC Equity Partners.

Laura joined YFM’s investment team in 2020, where she is responsible for sourcing and executing new opportunities to provide capital to high growth businesses across the North West. YFM invests in both Series A stage businesses looking to raise growth capital and scale, as well as established, profitable businesses interested in introducing a private equity partner to facilitate a change in ownership. Laura joined YFM from the Transaction Services team at KPMG. Prior to this, she was an Equity Research analyst at Morgan Stanley.

Ed is a Partner in the Tech team at Clearwater, based out of the Manchester office. He works closely with tech businesses across the software and tech services sector, leading on transactions with mid-market private equity houses and international trade acquirers. Ed previously spent more than 14 years at EY working on deals across Europe and Asia.
