Biscuiteers are the UK’s original hand-iced biscuit company, famous for their beautiful, luxury iced biscuits. Under the banner ‘why send flowers when you can send Biscuiteers?’, the award-winning online retailer offers thoughtful and special gifts for every occasion.
Uniquely positioned as an artisan business working at scale, each biscuit is hand-iced by artists at the Ministry of Biscuits, a purpose-built head office and bakery which ices over 3 million biscuits a year. Biscuiteers delivers worldwide and is stocked in leading retailers including Selfridges and Liberty London. The company also has a busy corporate arm, working with businesses on bespoke designs for product launches, events, PR and client gifting. Corporate customers include Dior, Apple, Investec, British Airways, American Express, Cartier and Google. Biscuiteers is a member of Walpole, the official sector body for UK luxury and is a founding member of Buy Women Built.
About the Speakers:
After identifying a gap in the market for luxury food gifting, Harriet Hastings launched Biscuiteers in 2007, sometimes dubbed “the NET-A-PORTER of biscuits”. Over the past 15 years she has grown the inherently British brand from a small startup to a unique artisan business working at scale and employing over 200 people.
Having started her career in publishing, latterly as a Marketing Director at Penguin, Harriet spent 10 years as Director of consumer brands at Trimedia, a top 20 PR agency. She was also Managing Director of Women’s Prize for fiction which she helped to found in 1996 until 2023.
As well as this, Harriet is co-director of luxury London events company Lettice, founded by her husband Stevie and currently run by their daughter Holly.
Harriet has won a number of significant industry awards, including among others: the NatWest Aphrodite Everywoman award (2018); the Food and Drink Heroes Awards (2021) for Bakery Entrepreneur of the Year; the Great British Entrepreneur award (2021) for Food and Drink Entrepreneur of the Year; and made the Spear’s 500 2022 list.
