Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee
Fairness in the workplace is a vital part of a successful business and pro-manchester is committed to championing equity, diversity and inclusion. We aim to help develop a culture of EDI for as many people as possible within the pro-manchester and North-West business community and change perceptions, breakdown barriers, facilitate conversations and challenge non-EDI behaviour, in a safe, constructive and respectful way.
The EDI committee is split in to 6 working groups:
- Racial Equity Group (REG)
- Pro-Women
- Parents & Carers
- LGBTQ+
- Disability & Neurodiversity
- Social Mobility

At pro-manchester, we believe that good employment should be for everyone. That’s why we’re proud to support Good Employment Week, running from 5 to 9 October 2026 across Greater Manchester. As a Member of the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter, we’re committed to raising awareness of what good work looks like and why it matters. Why Now: This year’s theme, “What does your Work Feel Like?” aligns with the development of the Culture work that the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter is looking to embed in its assessment process. The week is about helping people think about what their work feels like and understand the culture of workplaces across Greater Manchester. What’s Happening: The Charter will launch a new interactive word cloud where people across Greater Manchester can share their voice and see how other people across the city region feel about their work. Until then, visitors to www.goodemploymentweek.co.uk can explore previous tools like the 2023 ‘How Good is Your Job?’ Quiz; the 2024 ‘Fair Work is Good Work’ game and the 2025 ‘Good […]
